There’s nothing better than a summertime S’more. This chocolate covered strawberry smores recipe was created for those of us who love to indulge.
This is a sponsored post on behalf of Voortman Bakery. All cravings and recipes are my own.
We have a smores addiction here. After we made s’mores with lemon curd and Ritz crackers, we knew the sky’s the limit. So, when this idea popped into my head, I knew it would be a hit.
I have to admit, this “recipe” was created because I thought about making chocolate covered strawberries, but didn’t feel like waiting for the chocolate to harden. When I created the lemon meringue pie sundae, I had similar laziness. So many great things come from me being impatient and lazy. Ha!
Take Strawberry Smores To The Next Level
What makes these chocolate covered strawberry s’mores so fun is that it uses strawberry flavored cookies. The strawberry wafers take this s’mores recipe to the next level. The delectable strawberry flavor of the cookie combined with the fresh strawberries, makes this your new summer favorite.
The ingredients are super simple, too. Fresh strawberries, chocolate bars, marshmallows, and Voortman Bakery strawberry wafers. The wafers give the sundae the perfect crunch, while sticking with the lemon flavor theme.
Double Decker S’mores
One of the bonuses of this strawberry smores recipe is that the wafers are long. With a long wafer, you can get more bite for your buck. It’s like a mini submarine sandwich, but with marshmallows!
Slice your strawberries, and place on two strawberry wafers.
Grab two more wafers, and put part of a chocolate bar on top.
Here’s the key. You must quickly put together your sandwich. You can put the marshmallows on top of the chocolate, or on top of the strawberries. Whatever you decide, do it quickly, so that warm marshmallow can melt the chocolate.
Now, eat! Make it messy. Take a big bite. Savor every moment. Each kiddo ate their differently but they all got nice and messy, which is always my goal when we have a s’mores night. Complete heaven.
How easy is this chocolate covered strawberry s’mores recipe? If you’re having a craving for chocolate covered strawberries, this will be a great fix. All ingredients, including the Voortman strawberry wafers, are available at your local grocery store. Go make this right now. Seriously, go make it.
