The Wisdom of Proverbs

Proverbs is one of my favorite Books of the Bible – for everyone, not just for teens. It’s full of wisdom and verses to give you strength.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 1:10 My son, if sinners entice you, do not give in to them.

Proverbs 20:11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.

Proverbs 21:23 He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity.

Fret not, kiddo. As life gets more interesting use these Bible verses for teens to find solace and wisdom. Share them with your parents!

Psalms Bring Peace

I have to admit — Psalms was overwhelming to me when I decided to do a Bible study around it. There are so many chapters!

But, within Psalms we find some of the most peaceful verses. Here are a few that are perfect for teens.

Psalm 139:13-14 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

Anxiety and Struggle In School

Sometimes, the anxiety tries to come in and take over while at school. Fear not. It’s also easy to get sucked into drama, especially at school. Here are some verses to reference when things feel overwhelming.

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Luke 6:37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

1 Timothy 4:12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.

Fret not, kiddo. As life gets more interesting use these Bible verses for teens to find solace and wisdom. Share them with your parents!

Troubles With Relationships And At Home

As a mom of a teen, I know that even at home, things can get stressful.

While your parents try to do their best to support you, keep in mind that God will always be there for you. Read these and take solace.

Exodus 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

John 13:34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

John 14:1 Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Ephesians 6:1-3 Do what your parents tell you. This is only right. ‘Honor your father and mother’ is the first commandment that has a promise attached to it, namely, ‘so you will live well and have a long life.

As a mom I happen to love Psalm 1 for my last born who is 13 years old. We take verse by verse. In fact we have just sorted it . I find it very powerful as it restricts children from bulling and badmouthing others. What is more encouraging is that it reveals that good deeds pays.
