Famous Feta Pasta Recipe But With Chicken!
Don’t get me wrong. I love the orignal TikTok feta pasta, but it needed more protein for us. Adding Perdue Farms Fresh Cuts Chicken Tenders right to the casserole dish was the perfect solution.
Yes, I said add them right to the dish with the other ingredients. The tenders bake along with the feta and vegetables to make this an even easier 2 pot meal.
Here’s what you’ll need for this version of TikTok Feta Pasta:
- chicken tenders
- a block of feta cheese
- grape tomatoes
- broccoli
- olive oil and spices of your choice
Can I substitute any of the ingredients?
The great part of this recipe is substituting ingredients with ones your family loves.
We specifically used broccoli because all 3 kids will eat it. You can use whatever green vegetable works for the hungry folks in your home.
You can also use your own pasta of choice, and even substitute the feta for cream cheese or boursin cheese.
Can I make this a different way?
Yes! I’ve seen many make the original feta pasta recipe on the stove-top and it comes out just as delicious.
Place the chicken feta pasta ingredients on medium heat, and cook similar to a stir fry. Add in the pasta once it’s al dente, stir together, and enjoy!
Baked Chicken Feta Pasta
4 to 6 servings
- 7-ounce block of feta cheese
- 1 packet Perdue Farms Fresh Cuts chicken tenders
- 8 ounces of grape tomatoes
- 12 ounces broccoli florets
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
- 1 pound rotini or penne pasta
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees °F.
- In a 9×13-inch casserole dish, place the block of feta. Put the tomatoes, broccoli, and chicken around the cheese. Please note: the dish will look very full.
- Pour the olive oil over everything in the dish. Then season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. The internal temperature of the chicken should be between 160 and 165 °F.
- While the chicken bakes, cook the pasta according to the directions on the package. I suggest waiting until the casserole has baked for at least 10 minutes, so everything is done around the same time.
- Once the casserole and pasta are cooked, place the pasta in the casserole dish, and stir together. Optional: For a creamier texture, add in 1/4 to 1/2 of the pasta water.
- Store any leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Consume leftovers within 4 days.
